The cold and snowy weather has found its way to Minnesota! I have just one question for you, do you want to build a snowman? ☺ I’m a Little Snowman is a fun winter song that is sung to the tune I’m a Little Tea Pot. This melody easily transfers to this movement and music intervention focusing on gross motor movement. Scarves pair well with the song, and below are the lyrics and movement directions to I’m a Little Snowman. Enjoy!
I’m a Little Snowman (Sung to the melody of I’m a Little Tea Pot):
I’m a little snowman short and round (move scarf around in a circle)
Made from snowflakes that fell to the ground (shake scarf from high to low)
I have two eyes (count) 1, 2!
And a carrot nose (scarf on nose, sneeze, ah choo!)
I’m the happiest snowman I know (sweep scarf on floor)
I’m a little snowman short and round (move scarf around in a circle)
Made from snowflakes that fell to the ground (shake scarf from high to low)
A scarf to keep me warm (scarf around back of neck, hang down in front)
And a hat on my head (place scarf on head)
I’m the happiest snowman I know (sweep scarf on floor)
I’m a little snowman short and round (move scarf around in a circle)
Made from snowflakes that fell to the ground (shake scarf from high to low)
When the cold wind blows (whoosh! Roll scarf)
I’ll stay so cold (Brrrr! Continue rolling scarf)
I’m the happiest snowman I know (sweep scarf on floor)
