Though they can be busy and stressful, the holidays are a wonderful time full of love and joy. I always look forward to this time of the year when I get to reunite with old friends and spend quality time with my family. But after all the excitement surrounding a week full of festivities, I find myself feeling disappointed once Christmas is over. I have no big events to look forward to, and the warm and relaxing days of spring break and summer seem so far away. I get so caught up in Christmas ending that I find it hard to full heartedly embrace the start of a new year. While New Year’s is a great time to make resolutions for the future, it is also allows us to look back on our year and reflect on our struggles and achievements. Each year undoubtedly brings its own challenges and obstacles, but the start of a new year should be an opportunity to change our perspective on the negative aspects of our lives and embrace the positive ones. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and embrace 2016 with open and loving arms!
