Want to have some fun making shakers with your kids/friends? The above images contain all the materials needed to make these one of a kind shakers! Materials include: Beads (small & large), Empty mini pop bottles (12 fl oz), Duct Tape (plain or color), and Toilet Paper rolls (plain or colored). There is a good chance you can find all of these materials at your local craft store!

First you’ll want to empty out the bottles and let them dry, for added measure poke a tiny hole (safety pin) in the bottle to release any leftover liquid. Fill the bottle with your favorite color beads, large or small, about 1/4 or 1/3 of the bottle. Shake the bottle during this process to find the desired sound you want, the size of the beads also affects the sound. Next close the bottle and fit the toilet paper roll on the end of the bottle, you may want to cut the roll one time long way to help fit the roll to the end of the bottle. Tape both ends of the roll for a tight fit, then tape the roll to the body of the bottle. Hooray! you have now made your own unique shaker.
You may also change out the materials for different sounds and visual appearance. Allow your creative side to go wild!

After making these shakers compare the sounds and looks of each shaker, you’ll find that no two shakers are the same! Jam out to your favorite songs and take turns soloing on your one of a kind instrument.
