How to De-stress with Essential Oils

Stress. This is such a hot topic as we seem to feel it more and more, right? Too much on our plates, too little time, too many circumstances out of our control. Work, family, kids’ busy schedules… It’s overwhelming! Believe me, I’m right there with you.

How many days do feel your blood pressure rise and your stomach drop before you even make it out of bed in the morning?

Not fun.

The good news is, there are many things within your control that can absolutely reduce your stress levels.

While meditation, deep breathing, healthy food, and adequate sleep are likely on your radar as effective tools to manage stress, what about essential oils? Are they in your routine yet?

If not, they should be! Essential oils, highly concentrated extracts from plants, are simple to use and have profound effects on your emotional state when used aromatically
and/or topically. The pure oils that I work with* truly are nature’s healthy solutions.

You may have heard of using Lavender for calming and sleep support, but there are a few others I know you’ll love for stress management.

I’m going to explain how to simply add these powerful tools to your daily routine. Because I know you’re like me, with no time to learn something complicated!

Essential oils are often blended together for targeted health benefits, and I’ve got 3 essential oil blends that are very effective to support stress management. These will change your life:

Balance Grounding Blend

  • What it is Balance combines Spruce, Ho Wood, Frankincense, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile and Osmanthus essential oils.
  • How to use it
    • Add a drop to the bottoms of your feet right away in the morning to lessen stress all day long.
    • Add to pulse points such as wrists and back of neck to ease anxious feelings as needed throughout the day.
    • Diffuse 5-7 drops for feelings of tranquility and relaxation.
    • Add a drop to the bottoms of your feet before bed to promote a restful night’s sleep.

Citrus Bliss Invigorating Blend

  • What it is Citrus Bliss is a blend of Wild Orange, Lemon, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Bergamot, Tangerine, and Clementine oils with a hint of vanilla.
  • How to use it
    • Add 5-7 drops to a diffuser in the kitchen or bathroom in the morning to energize, uplift mood, and reduce stress for the whole family.
    • Add a drop to the bottoms of your feet in the morning to prepare you for the day and invigorate your mood. Yes, you can use Citrus Bliss and Balance together!
    • Apply a drop to pulse points to uplift a bad mood and reduce stress as needed throughout the day. This also makes a great perfume!

Serenity Restful Blend

  • What it is Serenity blends the calming oils of Lavender, Cedarwood, Ho Wood, Ylang Ylang, Marjoram, Roman Chamomile, Vetiver, Vanilla, and Hawaiian Sandalwood.
  • How to use it
    • Add 5-7 drops to a diffuser in your bedroom in the evening to relax, wind down, and decrease stress and anxious feelings.
    • Apply a drop to the bottoms of your feet before bed to quiet the mind and promote a restful night’s sleep.
    • Add a couple drops to the bath for calming. This works well for kids too!
    • Add a drop to a diffuser necklace or bracelet to smell throughout the day to reduce anxious feelings as needed. I love this tip for my kids!

Don’t let life’s circumstances leave you feeling powerless and overwhelmed! Essential oils are an effective tool to manage the stressful and anxious feelings that inevitably arise in our busy lives.
