Spotify Playlist of the Week: Change of Seasons

Hello everyone!

It’s been a wild week getting back into the swing of school. I’m sure some of you are feeling mixed emotions about sending your little ones off, but we’re always so excited to see them! We’ve got a couple of events happening this month that we want you to know about, so keep on reading!

Voices & Choices Conference: The Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota is presenting their annual Voices & Choices youth and adult conference on Saturday, September 9th from 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM. Toneworks will be leading an interactive musical workshop where individuals will play instruments, do movement activities, and give a live performance! Check out their website here for more information.  They’re also looking for more volunteers to help out, let us know if you’d like to sign up!

Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk: Join the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota for their 20th annual Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk on September 24th at Como Park. It’s just $5 to register! Click here for registration and more information. Toneworks won’t be having their own team this year, but we encourage you to start one! This is an incredible experience and opportunity to support our loved ones and families with Down Syndrome. Good luck!

Meet Our Newest Intern: We’ve welcomed a new member to our team, Emily! Emily started her internship with Toneworks this week and is already such a joy to have with us. She is currently finishing her master’s degree in music therapy from the University of Minnesota and received her bachelor’s degree in music from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. She’s super energetic and excited to meet all of our clients!

School Resources: Last but not least, check out last month’s blog posts for tons of back-to-school resources. Here they are:
