Spotify Playlist of the Week: Spooky Sounds for Trick or Treaters
Spotify Playlist of the Week: Journaling Playlist

Hello and happy Wednesday! We can hardly believe how fast this year has been flying by! November is a month to celebrate all that we are thankful for, and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to work with our amazing clients! Here is a recap of some Halloween fun we had last month, and some exciting events to be looking forward to:

Spooktacular Sensory Friendly Concert

We had a great time at the sensory friendly concert at the Minnetonka Community Center this past Sunday afternoon! The Minnetonka Symphony Orchestra and the Minnetonka Youth Choir put on quite a show, performing music from Harry Potter as well as accompanying the film It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! We were able to see performers’ and concert-goers’ spooky costumes, as everyone was encouraged to attend in their Halloween garb! Check out some pictures from the concert below!

AMTA Conference

The American Music Therapy Association’s conference will be held in St. Louis from Thursday November 16th to Sunday November 19th! Conference is a time for the music therapy community to continue their education, network with other music therapists, and gain valuable resources! Music therapists who attend will have the opportunity to learn about new technology, ASD, dementia, early childhood, hospice, and many other areas of interest that will be featured! One of our very own music therapists will be presenting their research at the poster session; Lacey Reimnitz will be presenting her study, “A Randomized Feasibility Study of Effects of Music Therapy in the Form of Patient-Preferred Live Music on Fatigue, Energy, and Pain in Hospitalized Adult Oncology Patients on a Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit”; we are proud to have such intelligent, driven, and successful music therapists here at Toneworks!

Mark Your Calendar

Be on the lookout for more information regarding our first Tones of Fun developmental music class of the school year, for children ages 0-6 and their caregivers! Our first class will be on Sunday November 12th!

Also make sure to mark you calendar for Toneworks’ first sensory friendly concert featuring members from the Minnesota Orchestra, on Saturday December 9th!
Thank you for reading!
