Anusha here, board certified music therapist and marketing specialist at Toneworks. I’m excited to be writing this week’s blog post so I can share some very exciting news with you all. For the past several months, I have been hard at work with our team of music therapists planning our summer! I know, I know, it’s nearly impossible to imagine summer right now with snow still in the forecast in Minnesota. Never fear! Summer WILL be here eventually, and we are offering a full array of educational, creative arts workshops and classes to keep you and your little ones busy while school’s out!
Toneworks summer classes are open to participants of all abilities, and all classes are suitable for both differently abled and typically developing children and young adults. The most exciting part? All classes address specific goal areas and are billable to CDCS waivers and grants! It doesn’t get much better than this. Whether you’re looking for a drop in class for you and your friends to bring your babies to, an intergenerational experience for your toddler, or a class for your young adult who wants to learn a new instrument, we have exciting options for your family! Our class structures vary, ranging from recurring weekly classes to drop-in music groups, and half-day “workshop” classes for creative kiddos. All are affordably priced, and we have multiple payment options. Though I’m looking forward to the whole summer, some of my personal favorite classes are our intergenerational class, hosted at The Good Samaritan Society in New Hope, MN, the “Around the World” half-day workshop class, and the Adaptive Rock Band class for teens and young adults. All classes will be taught by board certified music therapists and staffed appropriately to create safe, fun, and successful experiences for all participants. Download our full class catalog or visit the summer classes page on our website for more information!
But wait…there’s more!
Not only will we be busy hosting classes here at our Golden Valley office, we will also be partnering with the Autism Society of Minnesota in August for our annual two-week session of Camp Art for All. Registration for this camp, through AuSM, will be opening in April. Please stay tuned for more information!
The options are endless–we hope you will not run out of opportunities to create art, share music, and build relationships this summer. Sign up to receive our newsletter if you would like to hear about exciting news and events here at Toneworks. We promise we won’t send you emails every day, and you will never receive spam from us! Please contact us with any questions or for access to the online registration link for Toneworks Creative Arts Summer Classes.
Thanks for reading, and have a wonderful day!
